Maja Bosen

Latham & Watkins LLP

Maja Bosen, a dreamer, gypsy, artist, whose present mixed-medium includes various mundane objects she encounters each day, emerging technologies and encaustics transforming them into fanciful bits of magical whimsy.

“Interested in the interconnectivity and mechanics of all living things, cycles of life and death, the stories, which rise, fall, evolve and ultimately dissipate. Inspired by the intricate complexity of life, our relationships with each other, technology, plants which grow in my garden, birds in flight, the luminous creatures deep within our seas – all of this influences my drawings, paintings and sculptures.”

As well as having received her BFA from the Art Institute of Chicago, Maja has also studied at Parson’s School of Design and the New School for Social Research in NYC. She has exhibited and performed in Chicago, San Francisco and New York in both solo and with groups at various times throughout her creative career. Maja is proud to call, the ZhouB Arts Center in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood, home.
